Tuulima Herbey Agafili
(She/Her)
MANA Program Coordinator

Tuulima is the proud child of Tuulima Agafili Tuitolovaa from the village of Salailua in Savaii and Linder Samuelu Agafili from the village of Magiagi in Apia. Tuulima was born and raised in Pago Pago American Samoa and is currently residing on the traditional lands of the Puyallup tribe. Tuulima was a youth leader since 9th–12th grade in high school, in the Promised Leader of Tomorrow Youth program with APCC; under the direction of Mane Tuiaana. During high school, she felt that she needed help and support from her own community, when nothing was to be found. Tuulima joined the Pacific Islanders Club to find support. She expressed herself through Siva Samoa, Cook Island Ura, and vogue. That was her way of expressing to find community and support. Tuulima joined UTOPIA Washington on April 18th, 2022. She now works her dream job serving as the Youth Navigator of UTOPIA Washington, working with QTBIPOC Youth. She comes in with personal experiences and is ready to share it with upcoming Queer and Trans leaders. She loves spending her time teaching Siva Samoa (Samoan traditional dance), Cook Island Ura, voguing, and also designing.
It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.
