I am Jayda Leiataua, born and raised in American Samoa from the beautiful village of Nu’uuli. My identity is deeply rooted in my heritage, with family ties in Aoloau, Masausi, Samatau, and Manono—places that continue to shape my sense of belonging, culture, and pride.
As the eldest of four, I’ve carried responsibility and leadership from a young age. I am the daughter of Talalelei Leiataua and Darlene Leilua Leiataua, whose love, guidance, and values have shaped who I am today. Through them, I learned resilience, respect, and the importance of leading by example.
Faith is at the center of my life. It grounds me through challenges and strengthens me in uncertain moments. I trust that my journey is guided by purpose, and I strive to live that out through my actions, my relationships, and how I show up for others.
Community means everything to me. I come from a culture rooted in unity, service, and connection, and I carry that with me in every space I enter. I believe in creating environments built on trust, respect, and support. I value hard work, accountability, and growth—not just for myself, but for those around me.
