Regina Fonoti-Parker serves as the Program Coordinator with a focus on civic engagement, and climate justice work. She is best known as “Gee” or “Gina” to her family and close friends – unapologetically Fa’afafine and a humble product of the beautiful island of Samoa. A mother to a teenager, a lifetime partner to a good man, and a favorite aunt to many little humans. Regina lived her life authentically while studying at Honolulu Community College and The University of Hawaii. In 2017, Regina found her way to the vast Pacific Northwest through her journey in search of better opportunities. After 4 years, she resigned from the fishing industry as the Fleet Chief Steward. Regina is a lover of makeup, hair, and short vintage films. Regina is ecstatic to be part of UTOPIA not only as a volunteer but at a full-time working capacity.
Everything negative – pressure, challenges – is all an opportunity for me to rise.Kobe Bryant
