Aleira also known as Lasi, is a passionate Samoan Fa’afafine, born and raised on the beautiful island of Tutuila, American Samoa. She has volunteered for many events with the LGBTQIA+ advocacy movement, mainly with the Pacific Islander population as well as, Black and Brown Indigenous People of Color population. She was raised by a single mother and moved to the Pacific Northwest to progress in her education and career goals. She has worked in various industries where she developed her love for eclecticism and has seen the struggles the LGBTQ community faces within the workforce. She has a love for environmental sustainability, fashion and is an experienced cosmetologist. She is a compassionate, helpful, fun, out-going person who is always looking for opportunities to learn and grow. With her position within UTOPIA Washington, she strives to close the gap of hatred towards the LGBTQIA+ community while being a stronghold resource.
