Our Community Services Program serves to provide direct support and mutual aid to our Queer and Trans Pacific Islander QTPI, 2SLGBTQIA+, and BIPOC communities. Whether you’re seeking resources, support, or a space to belong, you’ll find compassionate guidance and culturally grounded services here.
Programs
Real Talk / Peer Support
Real Talk is a place where you can find support, acceptance, empowerment, healing and growth. We believe that it is important to build relationships and foster an understanding between each community members while learning the value of each individual through a variety of experiences. Real Talk is hosted by Essaundra Ta’amu.
Care Management
Care work provides 1:1 case management support that helps people develop their capabilities, or the ability to pursue the aspects of their lives that they value. By opting to participate in our care work program, individuals will have access to a resource navigator to support with their overall care. Whether you have short term or long-term goals, care workers can work closely with you to outline a personalized plan that would enable individuals towards self-sustainability.
Food Access Network
At UTOPIA WA’s Food Access Network, we are dedicated to empowering communities through advocacy, education, and collaboration. Our mission is to champion food sovereignty, cultural preservation, and sustainable agriculture for a healthier, more equitable future.
Civic Engagement, Voter Registration and GOTV
UTOPIA Washington believes in empowering our Pasifika community in diaspora through civic engagement. Our voter registration and education initiatives are helps to ensure that every voice is heard and every vote counts. We provide resources to help you easily check your voter registration status, understand the voting process, and learn about the issues on the ballot. Through community education, Get Out The Vote (GOTV), community forums, we strive to advance the rights and well-being of the QTPI, 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
